Willow
Willow is an experimental Jfet amplifier that uses an inexpensive (read cheap!) SMD Jfet. It is the SMD version of the well known 2N4393. What it has over the 4393 is a greater voltage range and speed. Going up to 40 volts as opposed to 30 volts for its through hole counterpart. You can experiment with the PMBF4393 in a bare bones configuration and leave the 5002 out of the circuit if you like. I should have all the schematics, BOMs and PCBs up by the end of November the latest. UPDATE 2/12, there is a new schematic with changes for Willow in the works.
Errors: Fig. 2 information and fig 1 info transposed. Fig. 1 compares the OPA227 to the trace from the waveform generator and fig. 2 shows the PMBF4393 compared to the OPA627!

Before this though I'm experimenting with a new motor control for my vintage AR turntable.
Here's an updated digital pot that was in the October aX. It has 128 position. The button is a balance control. All this with only 12 precision resistors per channel. Each input (there are 4) lights a different color LED which can be seen on the perimeter of the case top. I built this as an interface for testing amps.(PI= Peripheral Interface)UPDATE, PI will be in the April issue of aX.
